Millet originated in China nearly 5000 years ago, making it one of the earliest cultivated grains. It is easily digested because it is alkaline whereas most other grains are acidic. Use millet to make a delicious cereal, prepare and serve just like you would steamed rice, or add to soups, stews and salads. Suitable for gluten-free or wheat-free diets.

- High in magnesium which can lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart attack
- Good source of protein, essential amino acids, fiber, vitamin B
- More alkalizing than most other grains

Suggested Uses:
- Best soaked for 4 hours to activate before cooking
- Can be added to Gluten-free baked goods recipes for a hint of sweetness and crunch
- To cook: Bring 2 cups water to boil. Add 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 cup millet and return to a boil. Cover and cook at lower heat setting for 35-40minutes. Serve with low- GI sweetener as a breakfast cereal, or add salt & nut butter for a savory side dish
- Make millet porridge or mix with rice and cook in rice cooker

- 當早餐麥片享用配以低升糖指數(G.I. Index)的健康糖類食品一同食用; 或加鹽和堅果醬作美味的配菜

- 煮成麥片糊或加至飯鍋與米一同煮熟亦可
